Is your myGov Account linked to your ATO Account?
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) now allows individual’s to link their myGov accounts to their ATO accounts.
If you have linked your ATO account to your myGov account, please be aware that the majority of your personal ATO correspondence will be directed to your myGov inbox, rather than being forwarded onto us, Howe Ford & Boxer.
The ATO will notify you via email or SMS when tax office correspondence is sent to your myGov inbox. Howe Ford and Boxer will not be notified of any correspondence the ATO have sent directly to you.
If you would prefer your individual ATO correspondence to be sent to Howe Ford & Boxer, you will need to unlink your myGov account as follows:
- Go to your myGov account
- Go to the Services page by selecting this icon
- Select the unlink icon next to the service you wish to remove
