Tim is the Executive Director – Strategy and Capital - at HFB Group. He is passionate about leading businesses that partners with its clients to deliver success. Tim has extensive experience in the accounting, taxation and commercial space - with private clients, and small to medium sized businesses. Tim is passionate about the people behind the numbers and enjoys helping his clients achieve their business and personal financial (and other) goals. Tim brings a breadth of experience and knowledge when engaging with business owners and has been engaged as a contract CEO / CFO to assist business owners – by providing expertise and accountability – to deliver on strategy, including increasing of profit, improvement of stakeholder engagement and other key targets.

With a wealth of experience across a diverse range of commercial fields, Tim is sought after for his business and commercial advice. He also has specialist skills in facilitating complex business transactions as well as client engagements in the leadership / planning / strategic direction and vision space.

Tim is a Chartered Accountant and has an Accounting Degree from the UQ.

Samantha joined the leadership team at Howe Ford & Boxer in 2016. She has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Chartered Accountant qualification, as well as being a registered Tax Agent and a sub-authorised SMSF Financial Services Representative competent under ASIC’s RG146 requirements.

Samantha has had extensive experience over a number of years in assisting small business owners with their business management and tax compliance. In addition, she has also specialised in self-managed super fund compliance during a large portion of this time.

Samantha also has a keen interest in helping businesses with additional business advisory services such as budgeting, cash flow forecasting, software implementation and tax planning. This type of information is essential to a business wanting to make informed decisions and can help to reduce costs and improve profitability.

Samantha lives locally with her husband and two boys and enjoys spending time with them on a 4WD beach getaway or at weekend sporting event.

Shona is the Executive Director – People and Operations - at HFB Group. She has extensive knowledge in the superannuation space and has specialised in self-managed super funds since 2009. She loves engaging with all her clients, specialising in providing strategic advice to help them achieve their goals, and guiding them through the at-times complicated compliance regime.

Shona holds a Bachelor of Business with an Accounting Major and Wealth Management and Superannuation Minor from QUT. She is a registered tax agent, a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (MIPA), holds a Public Practice Certificate, and is a Financial Adviser within the SMSF space.

Her experience and qualifications underpin her comprehensive understanding of the Australian tax and superannuation laws, which allows her to provide the professional strategic advice to her valued clients. Shona has successfully completed post-graduate studies, including the FASEA Financial Adviser exam, to meet the competency requirements under ASIC’s Professional Standards for Financial Advisers, and is authorised to provide financial product advice on Self-Managed Super Funds, such as the establishment of your Self-Managed Super Fund; and providing advice on contribution and pension strategies.

Shona lives locally, and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family, catching up with friends, watching sport and travelling. Shona supports various local community groups, is a long-term foster carer, and is a volunteer for MS Queensland.

Andrew is passionate about his work and has developed some extensive knowledge in advisory, taxation, financial management & payroll. Having learnt that despite all the knowledge, without a great team to help, the possibilities are missed. Joining the HFB Group was the perfect way to extend & deliver this knowledge with a great team.

Andrew loves working with clients to understand their journey and to foster the relationships that are built. It’s through this method he believes yields the best results as you gain a deeper level of trust and accommodation while working towards the same goal.

He holds a Bachelor of Business from QUT, a Masters in Commerce (UNE), is a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants and a Registered Tax Agent.

Andrew is a keen cyclist and spends many hours a week “in the saddle” both competitively and socially, while also spending time with his young family. Saturday is known as ‘parkrun day’ which the whole family participate.

Jodi joined the team at Howe Ford and Boxer in 2009.

Outside work, Jodi enjoys the adventures and chaos that comes with raising three busy children with her husband Bill, as well as walking, and a good wine. The Leukaemia Foundation Qld holds a special place in Jodi’s heart, and she supports their fund raising activities.

Desley has been in the accounting and tax profession for over 30 years. She takes pleasure in getting to know clients, listening to their goals and helping to achieve them in a friendly and helpful manner.

Her interests include gardening, renovating, tennis, watching footy and listening to music.

Danielle started working in the accounting and taxation profession in 1998. For the last 17 years, her career has focussed on superannuation and self-managed super funds. Danielle is a member of CANZ (Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand) and has a Diploma of Superannuation Management from Macquarie University.

Danielle was born in The Netherlands and immigrated to the Redlands as a young child. She still lives locally with her husband and two children and after commuting to the Gold Coast and Brisbane City for work, she is delighted to be working close to home. In her spare time Danielle enjoys baking, going to the movies, reading and spending time with family & friends.

Bachelor of International Business/Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) – Griffith University

Craig is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of experience in small & medium business advice. Craig joined our team in 2022 and is a Registered Tax Agent as well as authorised to give limited SMSF advice under ASIC’s RG146 requirements.

Craig is driven to change accounting from solving problems as they arise to being your first contact when you’ve got that new idea or different direction for the business. Craig has worked with a broad range of industries on their tax planning, internal processes, cash flow and budgeting and loves to get the quirky and unique problems specific to each industry.

Bachelor of Business & Commerce – Griffith University

Nick joined the HFB team in 2021 whilst also completing his Bachelor of Business & Commerce degrees at Griffith University. He enjoys immersing himself in Taxation, Bookkeeping and Compliance.

Outside of the office, Nick enjoys sport, music and travelling. He frequently plays basketball and DJs on the weekend.

Justice of the Peace (Qualified)

Wendy joined HFB June 2019, and specialises in the tax and compliance of SME’s. She enjoys working with her business clients, and is particularly passionate about the problem solving nature of working in the tax industry and staying on top of all of the legislative changes and industry news. As a local, she enjoys getting to work with such a diverse range of clients from the local community, as well as working with clients from further afield.

If she’s not at work, you can usually find her either with her head in a book, or down at the Gabba, cheering on the Brisbane Lions.

Britt joined HFB Group in 2021, she has extensive experience in financial management and administration for over 20 years, in the UK and Australia.

Over that time, Britt has provided strategic insight, reporting and training for small and medium businesses, Executive teams and Company Boards across a variety of industries.

In her role at HFB Group, Britt specialises in tailoring training and processes to each client’s individual requirements. Britt prides herself on working closely with clients, providing them with help and support to achieve their business goals.

Away from work, Britt keeps busy running her daughters to various sporting activities. She enjoys playing netball, going to the gym and walking with friends and her dog, Daisy.

Matt joined the HFB team in 2022 while completing his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at QUT, working in the advisory team. Outside of work, Matt is a keen sports fan, loves travelling and spending time with his friends and family.

Michael is the Director of HFB’s Private Wealth Team

Michael has had an extensive Financial Services career spanning more than 25 years.

Prior to becoming a Director at HFB Michael owned and operated a large Financial Planning Practice for 20 years and before that worked in 2 of Australia’ s Business and Private Banks.

Michael understands what it takes to run a small business by being a small business owner himself and by advising many small business owners through his career in many areas.

Michael is passionate about ensuring his Financial Planning team provide a transparent and real Financial Planning experience to clients. This is achieved by ensuring his team are compassionate and take particular notice of what every client’s needs and best interests are.

Michael’s wealth of experience has seen him establish many extremely strong relationships with Estate Planning Lawyers, Mortgage and Equipment Finance Brokers.

Michael and his team will work very closely with the HFB Accountancy and Development team to ensure the HFB Private Wealth Team offers all HFB clients a wide array of Financial Services and Advice.

Michael holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning as well as Kaplan accreditations in Self-Managed Superannuation and Direct Equities

Outside of work Michael enjoys a round of golf and watching the Cricket and all codes of Football as well as fishing on Stradbroke and Moreton Islands

Bachelor of Business (Finance) – Queensland University of Technology

Starting his career in financial services in 2018, Max has experience in every level of the advice process, from administration to complex strategy production. Committed to his clients’ needs and long-term goals, Max’s advice is rooted in meticulous financial planning and astute investment strategies.

Max holds a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning as well as specialised accreditations in SMSF advice and debt strategies from Kaplan Professional. With plans for a Master’s degree and further accreditation in future, Max is dedicated to continuous education and expertise in the field.

Outside of work, Max enjoys playing basketball and touch football, attending music festivals and quality time with friends and family.

Cath has over 16 years’ experience in accounting administration.

She enjoys camping and spending time with her family and friends.

Cath loves the daily interaction with clients ensuring to provide a positive experience at all times.

Mirna joined our team in 2020 and brings her own personal flair to the office.

She earned her University Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Biotechnology in Croatia. She lived and worked in Dublin, Ireland for several years before making her lifelong dream come true and settling in sunny Queensland.

Mirna thoroughly enjoys helping clients through the administration maze, making sure no signatures are missed and lodgement due dates are met.

Melissa joined HFB Group in 2022 in the administration team bringing with her over 20 years of experience as an Executive Assistant in the legal and construction industries.

In her role at HFB Group, Melissa is always eager to undertake new challenges and takes great personal pride in working closely with the management team, providing them with assistance and support to achieve their business goals.

Melissa lives in the Redlands and loves the bayside lifestyle. She enjoys going to the gym and visiting North Stradbroke Island with her family and their dog, Bonnie.
